The Ethiopian Embassy in Beijing participated on the 6th World Textile Merchandizing Conference (WTMC) held in Zhejiang province Shaoxing Keqiao, China, starting from November-3-10, 2023.
The representative from the Embassy made a presentation on textile industry investment opportunities in Ethiopia. The conference theme was digitalization and circularity—megatrends shaping the textile industry based on the concept of “mutual consultancy, joint construction, and shared benefits” and the spirit of striving together. At the end of the conference, the Embassy held a discussion with some of the company owners and expressed their interest in going to Ethiopia in order to invest in the textile industry.
