On October 19,2022 the Ambassadors of the Horn of Africa Countries based in Beijing planted tree seedlings at the Embassy Compound with the theme of “Plant African Fraternity”.
The tree planting event was held in the presence of Ambassadors of Kenya, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan and Uganda.
Ambassador Teshome Toga said on the occasion that the Green Legacy initiative which is spearheaded by Ethiopian Prime Minister H.E. Dr. Abiy Ahmed would enhance the ongoing efforts to create a climate change resilient environment in the region.
The Ambassador added that the tree planting event is a testimony how Africans are joining hands to realize their mutual prosperity.
The staff members of Ethiopian Embassy have also participated at the event.
