H.E. Dr.. Girma Amente, Minster of Agriculture of FDRE, has been attending the 3rd China- Africa Economic and Trade expo 2023 in Hunan, China.
Dr. Girma, make a statement on the agenda of the “China-Africa Sanitary and Phytosanitory Cooperation Forum” of the large audience. According to Dr. Girma, Ethiopia has exerted maximum efforts to fulfill the safety requirements in food production and trading processes.
He also underlined the importance of collaboration between Chinese and the African counterparts of the government institutions and the private sector towards attaining common interests of attaining food safety standards.
In his remarks, Dr. Girma encouraged Africans to be self-sufficient in terms of food supply, parallel to increasing exportable items to the China Market.
