H.E. Mr.Tefera Debrew Yimam, Ethiopia Ambassador to China, has been awarded by the Home and Abroad News press on 29 December 2023, Beijing, China. On the 22nd Anniversary of the Home and Abroad News Press, H.E Ambassador Tefera Derbew awarded as the News Person of the Year 2023.

During the Awarding ceremony, Ambassador Tefera expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the President of China Home and Abroad News Press, Mrs. Wei Yan, thanked her and organization for awarded him as Home and Abroad News Person of the Year 20223. He appreciated the important role that the Media is playing in Diplomacy and International relations. He also talked about bilateral relations between Ethiopia and China. He stated that both countries enjoy historic and time-honored friendships that have been championing the course of history over the past 50 years and above, In the October 2023 during the Official visit of our Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed to China, both leaders uplifted level of our cooperation to an all-weather strategic partnership.
In the conclusion, the Ambassador thanked the press and organizers and closed his speech by wishing Home and Abroad News Press a complete success, and thanked them again for awarding him the “News Person of the Year.”
