H.E Ambassador Teshome Toga held a fruitful discussion with Mr. He.Zhaouha , DG of the NHS(National Health Commission) on further strengthening and enhancing China’s medical assistance, capacity building and medical technology transfer to Ethiopia.
H.E Ambassador Teshome commended that China’s and Ethiopia’s bilateral relations exhibited a lot of exemplary successes including in the medical sector.
He underscored that Ethiopia has a keen interest for the full implementation of the ongoing and new medical projects, based on the FOCAC Action Plan and also knowledge transfer in the medical and health sector.
Ambassador Teshome further stressed the role medical technology has in transforming Ethiopia’s medical sector and expressed his expectations that providing support from the NHC to boost the public health system and modernization of the sector.
Mr. He. Zhaouha affirmed NHC’s readiness to continue sending Chinese medical professionals to serve in Ethiopia hospitals and to share know-how including the traditional medicine through pairing of hospitals of the two countries.
