H.E. Ambassador Tefera Derbew, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to the People’s Republic of China, had a fruitful discussion with various Chinese Investment associations in the Ethiopian Embassy, Beijing. It was focusing on participating in the High-level investment forum that will be held from April 26-28/2023 in Addis Ababa. Presidents and CEOs from 20 Associations which involved in different fields including Mining, Energy, Steel &Iron, Textile, Leather & Leather products, Agro-processing, among others have participated.
In his speech, the ambassador thanked the associations for attending the meeting in honor of the invitation from the embassy and saying that this shows their commitment to work in cooperation with Ethiopia. He highlighted on the investment opportunities in Ethiopia and called up on the associations to organize their member companies to attend on the High-level Investment forum in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Ambassador Dawano Kedir, Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy also presented on untapped investment potentials in Ethiopia.
The associations on their part expressed their commitment to work jointly with Ethiopian Embassy for the benefit of the two countries and promised in promoting Ethiopian Investment opportunities for member companies to participate in the Investment forum that will be held in Addis Ababa.
