H.E. Ambassador Tefera Derbew met and discussed with Mr. Li Mingquan, Deputy Director General of the Chongqing Foreign Affairs Office.

H.E. Ambassador Tefera Derbew and Mr. Li Mingquan exchanged views on existing cooperation and future collaboration in the fields of economy and trade, culture, and friendly cities between Chongqing and Ethiopia.
The Ambassador and Deputy Director General discussed the cooperation between Chongqing and Ethiopia in general and Chongqing and Addis Ababa City in particular to further enhance and promote the friendship between the two cities.
Mr. Li Mingquan will lead a Chongqing City official delegation to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, early in January 2024. The visit will mainly focus on strengthening the cooperation between the two cities, and would like to take it to the next level.
H.E. Ambassador Tefera highlighted the Ethiopian tourists sites and investment opportunities in Ethiopia, encouraged his Chinese counterpart to visit and invest in the land of origin, and reminded the Chongqing FAO not to hesitate to ask the Embassy for necessary assistance. Mr. Li thanked the Ambassador and the Embassy for their usual support.
