Ethio-Hefei Business Forum Held in Hefei City, June 2024

During the forum, H.E. Ambassador Tefera Derbew delivered the opening speech by elaborating on the strong bilateral relationship that exists between Ethiopia and China. In his remarks, H.E. Ambassador Tefera highlighted the untapped investment and trade opportunities available to further boost economic relations between the two countries. Additionally, the embassy presented the vast investment and trade opportunities that Ethiopia offers to foreign investors.
At the forum, higher officials from the Hefei Municipal People’s Government and company leaders participated. The forum aimed to further enhance economic ties between Ethiopia and Hefei City.
On the sidelines, H.E. Ambassador Tefera Derbew met with H.E. Mr. Luo Yunfeng, Mayor of Hefei City, and higher officials of the Hefei Municipal People’s Government, holding fruitful bilateral discussions. During his stay in Hefei City, H.E. Ambassador Tefera visited several companies operating in the field of new energy and held discussions with company leaders about investment opportunities in Ethiopia.
