Ambassador Teshome Toga briefed the Senior diplomats of African Union Peace and Security Council and The three African non-permanent members of the UNSC, (A3) in Beijing, on current situation of Ethiopia.
In his briefing the ambassador explained that, ignoring all of the peace alternatives presented by the government, the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) group has launching renewed attacks and committing atrocities on the people of Tigray and the peoples of the neighboring Amhara and Afar regions.
Ambassador reminded that, the effort from the very beginning for dialogue, even though the government has accepted the peace effort that was being carried out under the African Union, the TPLF group has rejected and keeps discrediting.
Ambassador stressed that Ethiopia has a great confidence and cherished to African Union and so that Ethiopia remains committed to the principle of African solution to African problems.
On his conclusion, Ambassador said that we African should unite and cooperate for common peace and development of the continent.
