Ambassador Tefera Derbew Discussed with the President of Lebunna Group

On June 06/2023 H.E Ambassador Tefera Derbew, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to the People’s Republic of China has met and held discussions with Mr. Li Lin, President of Lebunna Group.
Ambassador Tefera was grateful for President Li and his group to be at his office and pledged any necessary support from the Embassy. Ambassador Tefera urged the Lebunna Group to explore other investment area and promote Ethiopian coffee products in China. He also appreciated the interest shown for transferring the experience of Lebunna’s Industrial park investment to Ethiopia and underlined the need for consolidated efforts to improve the lives of small farm holders.
The President on his part pointed Lebunna to be the largest Ethiopian coffee importer and to have plan to invest a coffee processing plant in Ethiopia. He also underscored the need to cooperate with the Embassy in areas of mutual interest and common concern.
Finally, Ambassador Tefera called upon the Lebunna group to bolster their coffee importing capacity and help the country gain foreign currency. He also stressed the need to exchange experiences of the Lebunna group to its Ethiopian counterparts.
