On June 28, 2024, a representative from the Embassy participated in the Beijing Foreign Studies University Commencement 2024.

BFSU is the only university in China that offers an Amharic Language Department, and the first batch of students from this department was among today’s graduates. The Embassy commends BFSU for providing Amharic language studies, which will strengthen the people-to-people relations between the two countries. Additionally, a delegation of six people, led by the Prof. Jia Dezhong, Vice President of BFSU will pay a working visit to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on July 1, 2024.
