In an ambitious move to bolster tourism ties between Ethiopia and China, the Ethiopian Embassy in China and Ethiopian Airlines jointly organized a B2B online forum on March 13, 2024. The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 40 tour operators, 20 from each country.
Ambassador Tefera Derbew, the FDRE Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China delivered a speech, urging collaboration among tour operators to showcase the beauty and heritage of both nations. Ethiopian Airlines CEO in China and Ethiopian Tour Association President echoed this sentiment with compelling remarks.
Notably, the tour operators of both countries pledged to join forces to attract Chinese tourists, aiming to make Ethiopia their premier destination.
