H.E. Ambassador Tefera Derbew, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to the People’s Republic of China, discussed with Mrs. Xue Fen, the Deputy General Manager of TBEA Co., Ltd., focusing on investing in Ethiopia in the areas of new energy and mining sectors.
The ambassador briefed her on the potential and the incentives that have been given in Ethiopia. He mentioned that the Ethiopian government has committed to assisting Chinese enterprises in creating a conducive business environment in
Ethiopia.
Mrs. Xue Fen, on her part, stated that TBEA, with its record reputation for building green and energy-efficient power transmission in Africa and the rest of the world has expanded its scope in the areas of solar power and mining sectors.
She added that Ethiopia is the ideal place for new energy and mining sectors that meet the interests of the company.
Finally, Ambassador Tefera assured the company that the embassy is always ready to assist until its plan to invest in Ethiopia is fruitful.
By 2022, the total amount of overseas projects signed by TBEA has exceeded 20 billion dollars, and the total amount of completed and ongoing projects has reached 9 billion dollars.
