On December 26, 2023, H.E. Ambassador Dawano Kedir, Deputy Head of Mission, held an interview with China Global Television Network (CGTN) at the Ethiopian Embassy’s Chancery, discussing Ethiopia’s tourism potential and how it could benefit both Ethiopia and China.
The Ambassador emphasized the rich cultural heritage of Ethiopia, including its ancient history and diverse culture with geographic natural beauty, such as stunning landscapes and wildlife.
According to the Ambassador, by exchanging tourists, the two countries can learn each other’s cultures, promote mutual understanding, build lasting relationships, and strengthen their existing bilateral ties.
Parallel to the interview, an Ethiopian traditional coffee ceremony, which involves roasting the coffee beans, grinding them, brewing them, and serving the coffee, was conducted.
