A delegation of Ethiopian Embassy in Beijing led by H.E. Ambassador Dewano Kedir, deputy head of the mission is conducting a working visit in Hunan province, China.
During the visit Ambassador Dewano Kedir met with Yan Hua, Secretary of the Shaoyang municipal party committee on Thursday (November 9), and discussed on the need to further enhance cooperation between Ethiopia and Hunan province.
Ambassador Dewano briefed the stong relationship that exists between Ethiopia and China and noted Chinese investment in Ethiopia have shown significant growth recently.
He also emphasized the interest of the Embassy to strengthen cooperation with Hunan province in the fields of pharmaceuticals, Agriculture, Agro-processing, Mining, Manufacturing, Tourism and Trade.
Both sides assured the commitment to work closely to promote Ethiopia’s untapped investment opportunities to Chinese investors and agreed to organize Ethiopia-China Investment and Trade Forum in Shaodong.
Ambassador Dewano Kedir also held discussion with Mr. Hu Qiang, Deputy head of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade in Hunan province, Mr. Jiang Wei, vice Mayor of the Shaoyang Municipal People’s Government and Mr. Zhou Yufan, Secretary of the Shaodong Municipal party committee on ways of advancing cooperation between Ethiopia and Hunan province.
